Dr. Kreider Speaks Out - Part 4: Conclusionby Randy Alley Dr. Kreider could be a harsh judge of the pseudosciences. He supported his position with the scientific facts available at the time as he understood them. He was not above ridiculing the practices of the phrenologists and the mesmerists, nor did he have kind words for the charlatans who profited from these practices. However, Kreider still had kind words for the people who followed these practices. In the end, I believe his goal was to keep people from being taken advantage of by the quacks of his time.More |
