Breaking News

Once again, just as we went to press, major skeptic-related news hit and we were unable to get it into this issue. Three stories — all related to "repressed memories" — were big news. First, Dr. Bennett Braun, one of the biggest names of the repressed memory movement, is in danger of losing his license due to the way he allegedly treated at least one patient.

A day later, news came out that charges against a local priest accused of molestation are apparently based in large part on "repressed memories." Finally, a psychologist has reviewed some of the original "Sybil" audiotapes and concluded that the supposed multiple-personality disorder was likely induced by the therapist. We will have coverage of all these stories in the October newsletter.
